MALARIA PERDHAKI, Manokwari – The Provincial Government of West Papua, through the Health Office, awarded several parties who have actively contributed to malaria control efforts in the region. The awards were presented as part of a series of strategic activities aimed at strengthening the control of infectious diseases and enhancing the integration of health services. This event took place over four days, from April 24 to 27, 2025, at the Aston Niu Hotel in Manokwari.

Three categories of awards were given: the Most Active Cadre award to Delila Baransano from Masni Health Center in Yonsoribo Village; the Most Active Malaria Control Facility award to Nur Farma Pharmacy for its contribution to malaria testing and reporting in the high endemic district in 2024; and the Health Centers with the Highest Malaria Case Reduction (2022–2024), awarded to Pulau Mansinam Health Center, Momiwaren Health Center, and Roswar Health Center. The awards were presented directly by the Assistant I of the West Papua Regional Secretariat for Government Affairs, Public Welfare, and Special Autonomy, Syors Alberth Ortisanz Marani.
The awarding ceremony was held as part of a series of strategic activities aimed at strengthening the control of infectious diseases and improving the integration of health services. This award event took place over four days, from April 24 to 27, 2025, at a hotel in Manokwari. The Head of the Communicable Disease Control Division at the West Papua Health Office, Dr. Nurmawati, expressed hope that this event would create a stronger synergy between the local government, healthcare workers, and the community. This synergy is expected to accelerate the elimination of malaria in West Papua Province.
