MALARIA PERDHAKI, Lembata – The Acting Regent of Lembata, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Drs. Marsianus Jawa, M.Si., expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Health Service Work Association (Perdhaki) for their 8 years of dedicated work in Lembata to combat malaria.
“On behalf of the local government, I express my gratitude to Perdhaki for their 8 years of dedicated work in this region,” said Acting Regent Marsianus during the opening of the Talk Show on Integrity, Strategy, Innovation, and Implementation of Malaria Elimination in Lembata Regency, held at the yard of Kristus Raja Parish Wangatoa, on Saturday night, April 29, 2023.
He said that indeed, nowadays malaria is less of a trending topic.

“Today, we talk more about Covid and other issues. But if we look back, our region and our country, malaria has been the leading disease causing fatalities,” said the top official of Lembata Regency.
Therefore, he continued, with this program, the local government expresses its sincere gratitude.
“Having been here for 8 years, hopefully this program, even if it ends, will still leave cadres in the villages who continue to work in malaria eradication,” emphasized the former Head of the NTT Provincial Inspectorate.
For your information, the Talk Show tonight featured six speakers, including Quinus Irenius Suciadi, Head of the Lembata District Health Office; Maria B. Kurniawati Beyeng, SKM., Head of the P2P Division; RD. Kristoforus Soge, SSR Supervisory Board member and Pastor of Kristus Raja Wangatoa Parish; and Etik Purwanti, S.Ag., SSR Program.
Also present were Yoseph Raya, S.Sos., Head of the Village Community Empowerment Agency (PMD) of Lembata Regency; Hubertus Benediktus Holo, S.E., Coordinator of Financial Facilities and Village Assets Substances; and the moderator, Fredy Wahon.
