Strengthening Surveillance, Malaria Cadres Update House Coordinates in Dukwia and Yammua Villages

Through cross-sector collaboration, Village Malaria Worker cadres (Juru Malaria Desa/JMD) went directly into the field to update the residential coordinate data of community members in Dukwia Village and Yammua Village, Arso Barat District, Keerom Regency, Papua Province.
The JMD cadres carried out the data updating activity for four days, from March 5 to March 8, 2026. The aim was to ensure that every household is accurately recorded in the digital mapping system.
The digitalization of risk-area mapping is a proactive outreach effort. Cadres visited residents door-to-door to update coordinate points using devices based on the Global Positioning System (GPS). The accuracy of this location data is crucial in the strategy to combat malaria.
